Denita Inez is a dancer-choreographer and instructor known for her energetic style and dynamic musicality. Denita focuses on dance as an accessible form of entertainment and self-exploration. She created Denita Inez Dances to cater to people wanting to have more access to dance in their daily lives. Denita is the Director of Desueño Dance Company, on staff at Lake Forest Dance Academy,  and has danced with Chicago Dance Crash, Modern Clave, Noumenon Dance Ensemble, the Detroit Opera, Detroit Opera House Civic Dance Ensemble, and in works by Rosa Mercedes, Samantha Shelton, Christopher Huggins, Kevin Iega Jeff, Gil Mata, Richard Amaro, Lisa McCall and Raymond Robinson.  Having won numerous contests, she is known as one of the top dancers in Chicago for Latin dancing and admired for her musicality, unique movement style, and her ability to use classical dance styling within the realm of Latin dance. She holds a B.S. in Dance from Wayne State University and trained intensively with Deeply Rooted and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Veronica Jacobus and Gina Ellis taught her to incorporate fitness and performance into her movement philosophy. It is her goal to teach people how to enjoy dance in performance, interpersonal relationships, and to be personally enriched by dance. She believes dance is important because Dance can change your world.
