Sung-Ki Lee is a first-year, first-generation medical student interested in pursuing a career in cardiology. Sung-Ki graduated from the University of Virginia with a major in Kinesiology before moving to Chicago to attend Rush Medical College. Learning the impact of exercise and nutrition on health, Sung-Ki is passionate about improving health equity through preventive medicine. Sung-Ki serves on the board for Cardiometabolic Health Initiative (CHI), an organization providing free preventative cardiometabolic care in under-resourced Chicago communities. Outside of medical school, Sung-Ki enjoys staying active through sports and discovering new cafes around the city.
