Maegan Collins is a graduating Fine Arts major, minoring in Arts in Health at Columbia College Chicago. She grew up in Indianapolis and plans to pursue a career in Art Therapy. Cultivating a passion for facilitating creative healing experiences through art, Maegan has worked with organizations in Chicago to lead art lessons. Her art has developed across the years- from discovering her passion in plein air sketching and painting before college, to finding interest in combining mediums and conceptual ideas in printmaking and sculpture. She crafts figurative narratives that navigate the tension between lived experience and imagined realities. Drawing from surrealism, she embraces fluidity in form and material, allowing her process to guide introspection and discovery. Her compositions blend rich values with transparent layers, creating dreamlike spaces where fragility and movement coexist. In sharing parts of her mind, she hopes to create space for herself and others to connect deeper to themselves and the world they create.
